2024 Seniors

Week A     Year 11 and 12     Tuesday - finish at 12.20pm

Week B     Year 11 and 12     Tuesdays No classes

Year 11 and 12 are not required to attend school on Tuesday week B. Students can opt to sign in at Student Central to go to the senior study.

 

Sports organisation

Tuesday is sports day at Picton High.

Timetable Week A is Years 9  & 10. 

Timetable Week B is Years 7 & 8.

Sports uniform to be worn if it is your sports day.

School finishes at 1.10 pm every Tuesday for all students. Early buses have been arranged where drop off is as follows.

Regular 3.10 pm buses still operate on Tuesdays and supervision of students at school continues to occur after 1.10 pm.

Bus pass applications

All new students in 2024 need to apply online for your child's bus pass. That information is forwarded from the transport department to Picton High will approve it if your address matches our records.

The bus pass is posted to your home in early January by Picton Buslines.

The school canteen is open before school and at each break (morning, lunch and afternoon) for students to make purchases.

School Bytes

Picton High School uses School Bytes for all correspondence,

 excursion, and payments.

A current email address is required to facilitate this process.

 

Sentral Parent Portal

This portal allows you to see your students' timetable, and attendance and receive their school report. A letter is emailed to each parent with an activation key when a student is enrolled. When a new sibling is enrolled their details will be visible too. If you have a new student and have not received this email by mid Feb 2024, please contact the office to enquire.

Immunisations

In 2024 parents can provide consent online for their child’s routine school vaccinations. (no more signing cardboard forms)

The following vaccines are offered free to students at school:

·  in Year 7 - diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa) and human papillomavirus (HPV)

·  in Year 10 - meningococcal ACWY vaccine  

Vaccination will only be provided at school if consent has been received. 

To provide consent for vaccination online, parents/carers will need:

·  their ServiceNSW log-in details, or to create an account with ServiceNSW if they don’t already have one

·  Medicare details for parents/carers and their child

Benefits of online consent for parents/carers:

·   SMS notifications when vaccinations are given

·   easy updating of their child’s details online

·  faster upload of their child’s vaccination records to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)
