The taster days allow students to trial classes run by specialised teachers including cooking, PDHPE, STEM and Visual Arts. Picton High School buses will take the students to and from their primary schools on the day. Please note all private schools and non local schools will have to arrange their own transport. Year 6 students going into year 7 in 2025 At 9am parents/caregivers are invited to drop their child/ward off at the Argyle Street entrance where they will be greeted by a teacher and peer mentors. At 12.00pm parents/caregivers of the students are invited to collect their child from the same place. Students will be required to pack their own food on the day. Tuesday 3rd December 9:30am – 12pm Parental transport Required Parents/caregivers are responsible for their child’s transport to and from the venue on the day. Parents are reminded not to use the bus bay to park and should find parking located on Argyle Street and Wonga Road.

Selected students will take part in an end of year excursion to celebrate their positive behaviour and approach to learning. These excursions will be heavily subsidised by the school. Participation in this excursion is at senior executive discretion. Students who have been suspended, are currently on HT monitoring or higher, have excessive negative entries, or received more than 5 uniform infractions within semester two will not be eligible to attend. More information to be provided by email through School Bytes.
